This hands-on course is connected to the Feinberg Family Distinguished Lecture Series. We will explore the rich history of student activism at the University of Massachusetts, with a focus on anti-imperialist organizing during the 1980s. How did the UMass community defy CIA recruitment and US foreign policy in Central America? With instructor guidance, students will produce an exhibition and other educational materials. Students will participate in the project, from start to completion, and engage in archival research, exhibition curation, lesson plan development, and outreach.

This class is open to students at the Master's or Doctoral academic levels.

Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
