Advanced Hindi and Urdu for Health and Human Services is a course for advanced speakers of either Hindi or Urdu. This course is part of the Five College Mentored Language Program. The goal is to develop vocabulary and cultural knowledge needed to have conversations about health and human well-being in Hindi and Urdu speaking contexts. Course materials include a diversity of speakers using various styles of Hindi and Urdu. Students studying Hindi and Urdu develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Pakistan or India and to support course work in South Asian Studies.
