Yoruba IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Yoruba. Yoruba is one of the primary languages of Nigeria and also spoken in diaspora communities in Brazil and the Caribbean. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Yoruba develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in West Africa and to support course work in African and African-Caribbean studies.

Students must apply to add this course. Contact the Five College Center for World Languages for details: fivecolleges.edu/languages.

Prerequisite: Yoruba I - III or equivalent.

Permission is required for interchange registration during all registration periods.
