Persian VI is the second part in a four-part intermediate course sequence in Persian. The course teaches Iranian Persian (Farsi). It is also useful for students who want to learn Dari (Persian as spoken in Afghanistan) or Tajik (Persian as spoken in Tajikistan). The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Persian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad and to support course work in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies.

Students must apply to add this course. Contact the Five College Center for World Languages for details: fivecolleges.edu/languages.

Prerequisite: Persian I - V or equivalent.

Permission is required for interchange registration during all registration periods.
