Theater 793F - S-Fndm/Vectorworks&Lightwright

A practical course using VECTORWORKS for theater designers. Emphasis on learning basic drafting techniques, workflows, and best practices for using VECTORWORKS to bring a lighting and set design from concept to professional drafting package. Students develop skills including drawing techniques, drawing structure and layout, utilizing working drawings, managing data and working with Lightwright, developing templates and libraries, and creating clear, well-styled drawings. Students should come into the course with an individual project selected to work on, whether it is a studio paper project or an upcoming production design. Basic drafting experience preferred.
