This course covers gross anatomy and physiology of domestic animals, using a comparative approach of species encountered in the veterinary field. The anatomy is approached in a functional and systemic way in laboratory sessions. Students use anatomical models and preserved specimens of a variety of species to study gross anatomy of various systems. This semester the focus is on the skeletal, muscular, digestive, cardiovascular, reproductive and urinary system. The other systems will be covered in the second course.
