How computers work, including digital logic, arithmetic, data path, and memory. Students build circuits with prototyping boards; program microcontrollers in assembly language and C to work with various I/O devices.
Open to Senior, Junior or Sophmore Computer Science majors only. COMPSCI 220 or 230w/C MAY OPEN TO SOPHOMORE CS MAJORS MEETING PREREQUISITE IF AVAILABLE SEATS. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO SIGN A LOAN AGREEMENT FOR A PROVIDED HARDWARE KIT.
