This course provides an in-depth examination of the fundamental principles of information assurance: authentication, integrity, confidentiality of distributed systems, network security, malware, privacy, intrusion detection, intellectual property, and protection.

Open to Masters and PhD Computer Science students only. INSTRUCTOR PERMISSION REQUIRED FOR UNDERGRADUATE CS MAJORS WHO MEET THE PREREQUISITE OF COMPSCI 460 OR COMPSCI 466, OR EQUIVALENT AND CLEARED BY THE UPD, IF AVAILABLE SEATS. NON-CS STUDENTS BY PERMISSION OF INSTRUCTOR. SEATS HELD FOR INCOMING GRAD STUDENT REGISTRATION.
