This Robotics: Perception, Motion Planning, and Control course is a graduate level seminar intended to cover recent research progress on robot vision, motion planning, navigation, learning/optimization-based control, and related topics. Students are expected to read, present, and discuss research papers related to robotics. They will also get familiar with state-of-the-art tools and techniques for developing robot control systems.

Open to graduate Computer Science students only. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO HAVE A BASIC BACKGROUND IN ROBOTICS, SUCH AS WHAT IS COVERED IN COMPSCI 403 OR 603. STUDENTS NEEDING SPECIAL PERMISSION MUST REQUEST OVERRIDES VIA THE ON-LINE FORM: https://www.cics.umass.edu/academics/course-overrides
