First Year Seminar 191ENG37 - FYS- Engineering FYS

This seminar will support your transition to college and introduce you to a topic in engineering. The course will be an exploration of an exciting engineering-related topic of societal impact. This seminar will also introduce basic skills and available resources skills for life as a college student.

First-year (R1ST) Course Title: Renewable Energy Technologies and Energy Transition
Course broken into 3 sections, one introducing UMass life and resources as a freshman, second focused on renewable energy technologies through presentations and interactive activities, and looking at historical energy transition periods and how it contributes to current climate consequences and health impacts.
