This seminar will support your transition to college and introduce you to a topic in engineering. The course will be an exploration of an exciting engineering-related topic of societal impact. This seminar will also introduce basic skills and available resources skills for life as a college student.

First-year (R1ST) Course Title: Fundamentals of Video Streaming Technologies
In this course, students will learn how video streaming platforms work, including how video is compressed, streamed, and delivered over the internet. They will explore challenges such as secure, smooth, and high-quality streaming, and will also be introduced to emerging media like 360? video and virtual reality.
