This course will introduce students to the Frank A. Waugh Arboretum, a campus-wide collection of over 8,000 trees and shrubs. Throughout the fall semester students will get to visit several campus "hidden gems" and be introduced to many of our most notable and historic trees. The class is structured as a mix of hands-on learning, field observations, and guest lectures from professionals in various related fields including Arboriculture, Entomology, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Contracting, Sustainable Food and Farming, and more!
