Geography 394GI - Water Geographies

This course considers the interrelationships among biophysical systems, society and culture, different places and peoples, diversity and justice, politics and political economy, and individual and group action, as it focuses on four current issues related to water: freshwater sustainability and development, bottled and tap drinking water, marine fisheries, and the Connecticut River. One third of the grade is student-led action projects to advance water sustainability. You will reflect on these experiences in relation to your university and life experiences and goals. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for Geography & EnvirSci students.
