Important mechanical properties of materials engineering such as yield strength and fracture toughness experimentally investigated with a view towards materials selection and design. Skills emphasized: experimental technique, statistical analysis of data, report writing, and oral presentation.
Pre Req: M&I-Eng 201, 211, 273 Students who register for this course should not also register for MIE 313 in the fall. Unless you receive department permission from either Dr. Schliemann or Kevin Romani to take both courses in the same semester, you will be dropped from MIE 313. Please contact either of them if you have questions.
Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
