Mechanical & Industrial Engrg 670 - Technical Project Management

This course provides an overview of the fundamental concepts of managing engineering and technical projects. Covered topics align with the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK?) developed by the Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI) and include the five (5) major project management process groups: initiation, project planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. A particular focus of this course will be equipping the student with the important nontechnical skills (i.e. soft skills) needed in leading projects and project teams.

This course does not satisfy the ME technical elective.
IE majors may take this course to satisfy the level 2 technical elective.
