Health assessment is the systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information to understand the health status of individuals and populations. In this course, students familiarize themselves with the range and variety of techniques used in assessing health at the individual and population levels, including diagnostic testing, disease screening, and community needs assessments. Students learn how health assessments are developed, validated, and implemented, and how health professionals use the results of these assessments to inform subsequent interventions to improve patient and public health.
