This Ph.D. course reviews the marketing literature from primarily the Journal of Marketing. The plan is to read and discuss all the articles. The articles are listed below. Each seminar participant will lead the discussion of an article every seminar meeting. Articles will be assigned during the first class of the semester. In preparation for each class, participants should be ready to discuss all articles in depth, regardless of if the participant is presenting the article or not. Summaries of the articles should be posted on the BBL class website. Review how to critically review an article. In addition to class presentations, there is an assignment to create a matrix that reviews the details of all the articles. Details of this will be provided in class. Also, there is an assignment to write a conceptual paper (15-20 pages) that that explores a marketing topic in some depth.
