This course introduces numerical methods used by mechanical engineers. It involves coding algorithms in MatLab and observing the types of numerical errors that arise. It is suitable for junior and senior undergraduates students and provides an understanding of basic numerical methods with focuses on accounting for numerical errors in order to analyze engineering problems using numerical solutions.

MATH 233, 331, and M&I-ENG 310 This course satisfies a technical elective for Mechanical Engineering majors.
