Basic chain saw use and safety, including directional felling, bucking, and limbing trees; notch and back cuts; using wedges; cutting branches and trunks under tension.
This course is open to students enrolled in the Urban Forestry concentration in the NRC major and to Stockbridge students in the Arboriculture and Community Forestry Management (ARCF) major. Meets with section 2.
Class will use Holdsworth 103A for equipment storage but will not be meeting in the room. Please contact instructor for further information about meeting locations.
This course meets for the first seven weeks of the semester only
