Topics will include definitions and models of these three experiences/processes, including reviewing findings on contributing biological, social, and cognitive factors: and the association and intersection of these three processes with psychopathology. We will also explore the current literature and effectiveness of evidence-based psychological interventions to address risky behaviors, emotion dysregulation, and interpersonal stress in psychiatric disorders, including dialectical behavioral therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy.
