From popular Netflix series to award-winning novels, narco-narratives have become some of the most frequently told stories about Latin America. This course examines literature, film. television, music, and journalism representing aspects of the illegal drug trade and the so-called war on drugs. It considers how popular depictions of the drug war often perpetuate myths and misconceptions.
