This course is designed to accompany an internship experience (remote and/or in-person) and is available to students participating in an internship in the same semester. Experiential learning opportunities not only add value to a student's professional pursuits, but also serve as a vehicle for learning key professional skills such as teamwork, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. The class is intended to expand upon the internship experience through personal reflection, relevant readings, writing, group interactions, subject-matter expert speakers, and site visits.
Students must already be enrolled in Internship/Practicum credit (such as UMASS 298 or Departmental Practicum). For more information, email internships@umass.edu.
Course materials will be provided by instructors; no materials have to be purchased by students.
