In this course we examine the important problems in Usability, Human Computer Interaction, User Interfaces, and Human Centered Computing. We will examine elements of HCI history, human information processing capabilities, HCI design, user interface prototyping methods and new applications and directions in human computer interaction.

Open to junior and senior Computer Science and Informatics majors. CS187/CICS210orINFO248&186/7wC JR/SR INFORM majors only. Will open to JR/SR CS and INFORM majors after JR ramp on. Seats saved for incoming transfer students until the end of new student orientation and transfer (NSOT) enrollment period at the end of July. Remaining seats will be released at that time.
