Engineering 122 - Engin Personal & Pro Dev I

The Engineering Revolutionary, Inclusive, Sustainable Engineering (RISE) Scholars Program offers engineering students a variety of specialized opportunities ? both academic and social. RISE provides students an opportunity to connect with fellow students in the same year within and across engineering departments, as well connections with upper-level students within and across engineering departments. The core deliverable of this course is an Individual Development Plan (IDP). In addition, the course provides a mechanism for RISE Scholars to formalize their participation throughout the semester in common & specialized programming designed to support the development of first year scholars?: o Sense of Belonging/Wellness o Academic Excellence o Professional Development o Technical Skills Programming is synergistic with the four pillars of RISE: Leadership, Community, Sustainability, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The course provides an accountability mechanism for students to prioritize engagement in activities which promote student success and development alongside the rigorous first semester engineering core curriculum.
