Advanced Swahili for Health Policy is an advanced Swahili course offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students will develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cross-cultural communication skills related to health policies and cultural concepts of health in East Africa, to prepare them for study abroad in East Africa and engagement with Swahili-speaking communities, and to support course work in African Studies and Public Health and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Prerequisite: Swahili I - VIII or equivalent.
