First-year (R1ST) Topic-Making Your World: Creativity, Design, and the Art of Finding Your Space
Course Description-Students will explore how creativity and design shape the world around us and influence their own experiences at UMass. Through discussions, collaborative projects, and campus engagement, students will examine creative thinking, sustainability, and community building. The course emphasizes practical skills for academic success, personal development, and meaningful connection within the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. Students will gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and begin to chart their pathways as engaged members of the university community.
