First-year (R1ST) Topic-Drawing What You See and Feel: Developing a Sketchbook Practice in Times of Transition
Course description-Students will learn how to start a sketchbook practice and how it can help them navigate through work and life at university. This seminar will offer ways to use a sketchbook practice as a tool to ground oneself emotionally, discharge stress, gather information, organize thoughts and more. Students will be exposed to a variety of mediums and techniques as well as develop a familiarity for different spaces on campus. The goal of this seminar is to encourage exploration of the self and our UMass community through the magic of drawing.
