The course will cover hurricanes (tropical cyclones), including their structure, origin, dynamics, impacts, historical and future-climate behavior, emphasizing theoretical concepts and the measurements of the atmosphere that underpin these concepts. Measurements will include ground-based and airborne Doppler radars, satellites, and in-situ platforms.
