The course will focus on the role of the prosecutor in the criminal justice system and society, the impact of a prosecutor?s office on the local, state, and federal criminal justice systems, and the duties and obligations of a prosecutor to the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights and the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments to U.S. Constitution in criminal trials and proceedings. The course will detail evolving criminal justice case law, the role innovative prosecutor policies and practices, and their impact on American society.
