How do you handle ethical dilemmas while working in clinical psychology-related fields? How do you maintain your personal values while also adapting to the realities of your workplace? This course is designed to help you explore these questions and more in a supportive environment with peers who are all involved in clinical psychology internships. Over the course of the semester, we will cover a range of topics relevant to your internship work, including setting personal and professional goals related to your position; identifying and addressing ethical issues in applied psychology settings; and managing self-care while working in this field.

Students must be enrolled in a clinical psych-related internship (Psych 398F).

This class includes both this weekly Psych 491 seminar as well as enrollment in a clinical psych-related internship (Psych 398F). For more information about finding internships, see here: https://www.umass.edu/psychological-brain-sciences/undergraduate/intern…. If you have an internship already but have not registered it for credit, please contact the instructor for instructions (cdavies@umass.edu).
