This course introduces students to the environmental determinants of infectious diseases and examines how factors such as water quality, climate, land use, and biodiversity influence the transmission, spread, and distribution of pathogens. Students learn basic tools for interpreting environmental and epidemiological data and apply them through case studies, class discussions, and collaborative projects. The course provides foundational knowledge at the intersection of environmental health sciences and infectious disease epidemiology and ecology, preparing students to understand and communicate environment?disease relationships in public health contexts.
