This course provides a comprehensive foundation in regression-based methods and advanced quantitative modeling techniques widely used in business research. It begins with core regression tools and panel data methods, then develops a rigorous understanding of causal inference and identification strategies, and concludes with advanced modeling approaches including factor analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM). The course emphasizes both theoretical understanding and applied implementation, enabling students to critically evaluate empirical research and conduct their own high-quality analyses. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to design, estimate, and interpret complex empirical models, with a strong focus on validity, robustness, and causal interpretation.

This course is open to doctoral students in the Isenberg School of Management.
