Art - Student Teaching 502 - Student Teaching Practicum

This student teaching semester will prepare you to earn an Initial Teacher License in the Visual Arts from the State of Massachusetts. Your practice in the classroom during the practicum and the coursework in Seminar 256/761 is designed to align with the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education?s Visual Arts Subject Matter Knowledge (SMK) and Professional Standards for Teachers (PST). Your practicum includes 300+ hours of student teaching (ideally a full semester, full time), of which 100+ hours you will be assuming full responsibility for the classroom.

Open to BFA-ART ED majors only. ART 515 or 516
