This career development course is crafted to assist BDIC students (juniors and seniors) to prepare for internship and job opportunities by honing essential professional skills needed to succeed in today's dynamic job market. Students will be encouraged to explore relevant career paths through the lens of their interdisciplinary concentrations, while identifying personal values, preferences, skills, and abilities to individualize personal and professional goals. The course focuses on helping students hone a range of professional skills, such as crafting tailored resumes and cover letters, mastering job and internship search strategies for your individualized industry, effective networking techniques, and excelling in interviews. Students will also gain a deeper understanding of the unique strengths BDIC majors offer to employers, and how to communicate this value effectively in professional spaces.
This class is open to Senior and Junior BDIC majors only. Pre Req: BDIC 396P
