Electrical & Computer Engin 529 - Applied Machine Learning

This course introduces concepts, techniques, and algorithms from artificial intelligence and machine learning, such as classification, regression, support vector machines, decision trees, neural networks, and deep neural networks. The application of these techniques to solve practical problems on computing and embedded systems is a focus of this course. Project assignments are used to reinforce concepts learned in lectures.

Open to Seniors and Graduate E&C-ENG majors only. E&C-ENG 122 and 214 Prerequisites: E&C-ENG 122 and E&C-ENG 214 or equivalents. Having Python programming experience and being familiar with Python's main scientific libraries; Numpy, pandas, and Matplotlib, is a big advantage. Also, a good understanding of college level math (Calculus, linear algebra, and probability and statistics) is a plus.
