Sinhala II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Sinhala offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Sinhala develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Sri Lanka and engagement with Sinhala-speaking communities, and to support course work in South Asian Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.
Students must apply to add this course. Contact the Five College Center for World Languages for details: fivecolleges.edu/languages.
Prerequisite: Sinhala I - II or equivalent.
