Moroccan Arabic V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Moroccan Arabic offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying colloquial Moroccan Arabic develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Morocco and engagement with Moroccan Arabic-speaking communities, and to support course work in Middle Eastern, African, and International Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.
The ability to read and write in Arabic and basic speaking ability in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) or a spoken Arabic dialect is a prerequisite for all Center Arabic courses. See our spoken Arabic page for details: https://www.fivecolleges.edu/languages-silp#spoken-arabic-courses
Students must apply to add this course. Contact the Five College Center for World Languages at fivecolleges.edu/languagse.
