Swahili VII is the third part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Swahili (Kiswahili) offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and engagement with Swahili-speaking communities, and to support course work in African Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Students must apply to add this course. Contact the Five College Center for World Languages for details: fivecolleges.edu/languages.

Prerequisite: Swahili I - VI or equivalent.

Permission is required for interchange registration during all registration periods.
