Modern Irish VIII is an intermediate course in Modern Irish (also known as Irish Gaelic) offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study and an evaluation by an outside evaluator, as well as collaborative contribution of course readings and discussion questions. Students studying Irish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and engagement with Irish-speaking communities, and to support course work in Celtic Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.
Students must apply to add this course. Contact the Five College Center for World Languages for details: fivecolleges.edu/languages.
Prerequisite: Modern Irish I - VII or equivalent.
