Focus on major world religions and their history, teachings, and role today in Islam, Judaism, and Christianity; the interrelations of religion and culture in the modern world. (Gen.Ed. I, DG)

Open to Commonwealth College students only. History 112H introduces students to the history, philosophy, scripture, and art of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism. The primary text for the course is The Illustrated World Religions, by Huston Smith. Numerous supplementary readings and images will be posted on Moodle.
