This year-long professional seminar is designed to support doctoral students in their academic and professional development and to provide them with valuable knowledge and understanding of the complexities of an academic career. Guest speakers will be invited to present on a variety of topics crucial for professional development and academic career success. Throughout the seminar, students will have the opportunity to engage with these topics in various hands on ways, providing a collaborative environment where students can engage in discussions, share progress, and receive feedback on their work. Key topics will include teaching development, grant writing, research ethics, and strategies for effective dissemination of research, including publishing and presenting, as well as career preparation.
