ST-Filipino I

Filipino I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Filipino. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Filipino develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Philippines and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies

ST-Haitian Creole II

Haitian Creole II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Haitian Creole. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies.

Persian VII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Persian I-VI or the equivalent. The course teaches Iranian Persian (Farsi). It is also useful for students who want to learn Dari (Persian as spoken in Afghanistan) or Tajik (Persian as spoken in Tajikistan). The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials.

ST-Persian V

Persian V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Persian I-IV or the equivalent. The course teaches Iranian Persian (Farsi). ST-Turkish VII

Turkish VII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Turkish I-VI or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Turkish develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Turkey and to support course work in Middle Eastern Studies.
