S-I Yoruba II

Yoruba II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Yoruba. Yoruba is one of the primary languages of Nigeria and also spoken in diaspora communities in Brazil and the Caribbean. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Yoruba develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in West Africa and to support course work in African and African-Caribbean studies.

ST-Twi I

Twi I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Twi. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Twi develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ghana and to support course work in African Studies.

S-I Czech IV

Czech IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Czech. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Czech develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Czech Republic and to support course work in Eastern European Studies.

Hungarian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Hungarian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. Students studying Hungarian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Hungary and to support course work in European Studies.

S-I Norwegian IV

Norwegian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Norwegian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Norwegian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Norway and to support course work in European Studies and Scandinavian Studies.

S-I Turkish IV

Turkish IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Turkish. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Turkish develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Turkey and to support course work in Middle Eastern Studies. Prerequisite: Turkish III or the equivalent

Serbo-Croatian IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Bosnian-Serbian-Croatian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Bosnian-Serbian-Croatian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad and to support course work in European Studies.
