Haitian Creole III

Haitian Creole III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Haitian Creole. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Haitian Creole develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Haiti and to support course work in Caribbean and/or Francophone Studies.

Bulgarian III

ST-Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian II

Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, or Montenegro and to support course work in European Studies or Balkan Studies.

Wolof II

Wolof II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Wolof. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Wolof develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in West Africa, especially Senegal, and to support course work in African Studies.

Vietnamese II

Vietnamese II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Vietnamese. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Vietnamese develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Vietnam and to support course work in Asian Studies

Urdu II

Urdu II is the first second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Urdu. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Urdu develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Pakistan or India and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

Twi II

Twi II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Twi. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Twi develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ghana and to support course work in African Studies.

Swahili II

Swahili II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Swahili (Kiswahili). The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and to support course work in African studies.

Romanian II

Romanian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Romanian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Romanian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Romania or the Republic of Moldova and to support course work in European Studies.
