This course examines connections between geography and identity as they emerge in post-1945 American literary and cultural texts. We will look at how space and place contribute to constructions of gendered, raced, and classed identities in works by writers such as Gish Jen, Jennifer Egan, Philip Roth, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Tommy Orange. Through examining turns towards space and place in post-1945 fiction, we will touch on topics such as the post-war suburb, immigration and migration after 1965, and the city post-9/11, among others.

Overview of laboratory and population research methodologies used in nutrition. Students will increase familiarity with nutrition research methods and study design.

Metabolism of nutrients and dietary constituents and its integration into biochemical mechanisms. Critical reviews, evaluations and discussions of current research papers involving topics of nutrient metabolism and biochemistry relevant to human health and metabolic disorders.

Principles of Real Estate is an introductory course in Real Estate. Topics covered will include Real property rights; Real property taxation; Conveying real property rights; Real estate brokerage and Listing Contracts; Contracts for sale; Basic forms of ownership; Management of real estate; Government regulation, planning and zoning; Market Determinants of value; Introduction to investment property analysis; Market and feasibility analysis; Leases; Mortgages and bank lending; Default and foreclosure; and bankruptcy.
