Physical Activity/Health & Dis

This course will provide students with fundamental knowledge underlying the health benefits of exercise and physical activity. The course will cover relevant topics in epidemiology, physiology, anatomy and exercise physiology that will help students understand how exercise, physical activity and sedentary behavior impact human health. We will apply this multi-disciplinary knowledge in the science of exercise, physical activity and sedentary behavior to various diseases and conditions to show how they actually affect human health in adults.

Visual information plays an important role in many aspects of our life. Much of this information is represented by digital images. Image processing is ubiquitous, with applications including television, tomography, photography, printing, robot perception, and remote sensing. ECE697IP is an introductory course to the fundamentals of digital image processing. It emphasizes general principles of image processing, rather than specific applications.
