The BOLTWOOD Project is a course that supports a student-run civic engagement and leadership program designed to provide enrichment, recreation, and socialization for adults and children of diverse intellectual or physical ability. Under the guidance and supervision of student leaders, students enrolled in this course participate in small groups that organize weekly enrichment activities at multiple sites throughout the region.

This first supervised clinical practicum affords graduate students the opportunity to practice health assessment at the highest level for diverse clients with varied needs while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

In this clinical practicum, students provide and manage nursing care for select clients with restorative health care needs. Emphasis is on providing care to sick clients in inpatient settings.

Introduction to sociology. America's major social problems--past and present--are examined. These include crime, mental health, drug addiction, family tensions and inequalities based on race, gender, ethnicity and social class. (Gen.Ed. SB, DU)

U.S. health care system with emphasis on issues relating to unequal access to health services. An analysis of how the system should work. Special attention to controversial issues, including managed care and health insurance. How other countries design health systems. (Gen.Ed. SB, DU)

Examines power and uses of digital technologies in national, transnational and global governance. Topics include inequalities, transparency, civil society, state capacity, privacy, social movements, cyberwar and electoral politics.
