ST- Amharic V

Amharic V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Amharic. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Amharic develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ethiopia and to support course work in African Studies.

ST- Egyptian Arabic III

Egyptian Arabic III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Egyptian Arabic. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Egyptian Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Egyptian Arabic develop skills needed for study abroad in Egypt and to support course work in Middle Eastern, African and International Studies.

ST-Topics in Adv Persian II

Topics in Advanced Persian II focuses on developing advanced reading and speaking skills, expanding vocabulary, and improving the ability to describe/narrate in detail and support opinions. Topics are chosen in consultation with the program director. Students studying Persian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad and to support course work in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies.

ST-Topics/Advanced Persian I

Topics in Advanced Persian I focuses on developing advanced reading and speaking skills, expanding vocabulary, and improving the ability to describe/narrate in detail and support opinions. Topics are chosen in consultation with the program director. ST-Persian VIII

Persian VIII is the fourth part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Persian. The course teaches Iranian Persian (Farsi). It is also useful for students who want to learn Dari (Persian as spoken in Afghanistan) or Tajik (Persian as spoken in Tajikistan). The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Persian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad and to support course work in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies.

ST- Norwegian VIII

Norwegian VIII is the third part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Norwegian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program.
