Greening/Nonprofit Arts Org

The arts have long been leaders and mirrors of social change, daring to move forward where others will not tread. In this course we take a step-by-step approach to Green your nonprofit arts organization, build community excitement while cutting operating costs, find and create internal allies, find financial support, communicate a Green philosophy to donors and patrons, identify and make substantive change, and educate and lead our audiences toward a green future.

Financial Managmnt in the Arts

Designed especially for those who are intimidated by or unfamiliar with financial concepts, this course will introduce you to developing a budget, as well as how to read and interpret financial statements, such as income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets. Through discussion and hands-on exercises, you will explore ways of developing and sustaining fiscal responsibility throughout an organization, including the understanding of roles and responsibilities of the board of directors, management and staff.
