Intro to Stats Modeling

This course is an introductory statistics course that uses modeling as a unifying framework. The course provides a basic foundation in statistics with a major emphasis on constructing models from data. Students learn important concepts of statistics by mastering powerful and relatively advanced statistical techniques using computational tools. Topics include descriptive and inferential statistics, visualization, probability, study design, and multiple regression.

Dean's Academy Seminar, Spring

This seminar is the second part of the Dean's Academy Seminar series. This seminar continues with the introduction for students to the business school and, more specifically, business leadership. Students have opportunities to meet with Isenberg leadership and other faculty to discuss various topics and current issues businesses are facing. Students will also meet with external professionals / business executives to better understand their profession and discuss challenges businesses are facing within their industry.

S-Special Topics in Mentoring

In this course, upper-level students in the College of Engineering build their knowledge base of how to be an effective mentor as well as what to look for in a mentoring relationship for themselves. Interactions with peers can be extremely complex and formative for both the mentee and mentor. Training will include a review of the literature, workshops, and discussion. As part of the class, students will lay the foundation for the freshman-mentoring program for the subsequent fall.
